Network Marketing Tips: How Top Leaders Rank Advance Quickly

For my first two years in network marketing I continuously wondered how top mlm leaders did what they did. What was there secret? Are they better than me, are they more talented than me? I was determined to figure this hidden secret out. I was determined to become one of the top mlm leaders in our industry. So my first breakthrough moment was starting to actually DO the things top mlm leaders where doing. I will admit, I wasn't doing everything, but I was heading in the right direction. I did this for about a year until my next revelation came. “I just can't do what they do, in order to become a top mlm leader, I have to THINK, like they THINK”. Little did I know that was going to be one of the biggest catalyst for my career. Once I started to think like a top mlm leader, I started to do the things they did, day in, and day out, with much more focus, clarity, and passion. So in today's blog post I will share some mindset hacks you can use today to start thinking like a top mlm leader, so you can start producing like one!

5 Keys To Thinking Like a Top MLM Leader

Helping, Serving, & Solving Problems 

Number 1 – If you want to crush it in your company, or in any fashion as an entrepreneur, you must think in a helping, serving, problem solving manner. The top professionals in our niche are focused on helping other people improve the quality of their lives, whether that be through their products/service, through the opportunity, or even through association/mentorship. A mentor of mine would always say to me “If you solve problems, you will get rich”. I still believe that today. If you find out your prospects problems, instead of being one for them, watch your network marketing business sky rocket. If you are thinking in a way that always starts with “How can I make this person's life easier today” you my friend will make strides! The selfish are worried about themselves and what they will get from it. This is not the way to becoming a top mlm leader.

Think Like An Entrepreneur 

Number 2 – Its time to think like a real entrepreneur. Most of us when we start our journey as an entrepreneur, we still are thinking like an employee when it comes to money, problems, rejection, success, etc. Any given situation is dictated by our employee mindset. Some time goes by and we realize employee thinking just doesn't cut it well in network marketing or any business for that matter. So we start to think like a network marketer, and we see some results typically. Thats good, but still doesn't get us to that top mlm leader status. If we want to reach that level, we need to start thinking like top level entrepreneurs, not just good network marketers, but fortune 5k and 500 owners. Many of us would love to make six figures in our business. Compared to most businesses that exists thats nothing, Challenge yourself to learn as much as you can from guys like Mark Cuban, Mark Z, Bill Gates and more. These guys are not in the network marketing industry at all, but their trends and traits can greatly effect how you operate your home business.

Think Like Your Most Skeptical Prospect

Number 3 – This is a tough one, especially if you're starting to have some success in your business. I know for me when I started seeing some results consistently, I started to lose sight of the way I felt when I was struggling to generate a lead for the day. Number 3 is grow, while continuing to think like the person that has never cracked open a personal development book. As you grow yourself, continue to think like the most skeptical prospect you may have. If you are in the mind of the most skeptical person you'll encounter, nothing will shock you. Nothing can jump out at you and get you off of your game. You already know what this person is thinking. Even though this person will not always buy/join, thats ok. Think Like A Media Company

Number 4 – I see people that produce content daily miss this one big factor. They aren't thinking like a media company. If you're looking to grow your network marketing business using the internet, one of the best ways to do that is through education of an audience. Maybe you have an audience that is into heath and nutrition, what else are they into? Make content not only about health and nutrition but the 5-10 other things that may be relevant to your main topic. Then consider having an affiliate offer that goes along with your main offer. This is why I tell network marketers that they are leaving money on the table if they don't have an affiliate offer. The reality is that you're going to hear “NO”, much more than you will hear “YES”. The top mlm leaders close at 30% to 50%. What do you do with the other 50% to 70%? You have something else to offer, that does not conflict with your main offer. If someone does not take your main offer, you still need to be able to generate revenue. This will keep you in the game longer, and the longer you can stay in the game, the greater chance of becoming a top mlm leader. I love this affiliate offer, its helped us a ton over the years. Think Like A Church 

Number 5 – Lisa Grossman pulled me aside years and told me if I wanted to become a top mlm leader I had to start thinking like a church. I was a little confused but I listened and my world opened up like crazy! Long story short, a church doesn't look to only serve the people that decide to become preachers, or deacons. The church serves the majority, it looks to serve and cater to the 80% of people that just want to come periodically, and then go home. Churches would not be successful if they ONLY served the groups in the community that wanted to participate at the highest level. Unfortunately, only about 3-5% of people fall into that category. This is a huge problem in network marketing. We think that everyone that is a customer, or thats active wants to run for the top of the compensation plan. The reality is that 80% of people are active just for the products, and/or community they like to be a part of. Not everyone desires to make the money that you may be looking to make, and thats ok. Create an environment of growth. Desire can not be taught. But it can be created in the right environment.

Working your business is NOT all about posting on social media. Sorry to break it to you, but there is so much more to building a thriving network marketing business. It's about what you are doing BEHIND the scenes of your timeline. Its about the person you're being behind the scenes. Connecting, talking, developing relationships, etc. Today I want to share some cool ways to Increase your social media engagement. The fantasy land of making tons of cash by posting about your products and business is NOT a reality…However, growing an audience that love you for solving their problems can create tons of cash. This is not possible if you're not getting engagement on social media, so as I share these tips on increasing your social media engagement, promise me that you'll take action by leaving a comment in the comments section.

 

7 Ways To Increase Your Social Media Engagement 

  1. Be Yourself!!!! – This is the hardest one for people to grasp. The goal is the have the exact same life on social media as you do in actual life. Most have a flawed perception of what their audience wants to really see. Your audience wants to see you be yourself. They want to see you live an extraordinary life and go on a journey with you. My advice document your life on social media just like reality tv.
  2. Be Vulnerable (Let People In) – The hardest thing for people to do is be vulnerable on social media. From the time we are kids, we are self taught to never show weakness. Vulnerability isn't weakness however, its the ultimate form of POWER. What are you most afraid of? Are you afraid of live video? What about picking up the phone, is it sharing your struggle? Whatever it is you are afraid, thats the key to your next breakthrough. Write down a few things you are afraid of and share them on social media in a way that inspires people.
  3. Who is Your Audience? – Could you imagine giving a very important pitch to something and after realizing that the audience doesn't even speak English. They had no idea what you said. On social media you're more than likely not speaking the right language if you're not having the impact you desire. Understand you your friends are on social media.   4. Engage with others – Comment. Share. Inbox. – Everyone wants more people to like share and comment on their post. Most of us know that the more engagement the longer a particular post, video, or pictures stays in the newsfeed. One way to get other people to engage more is to engage more on other people's stuff. Like their post, comment and share their videos. Engage on their pictures. You'll be surprised how this changes the way people connect with you on social media
  5. Leave an open loop – What's the mystery in your marketing. Practice leaving an open loop with your strategic post if you want to increase your engagement on social media. This forces people to reach out to you. Most home biz owners get so anxious about building their business, they give away the ending to the movie right away
  6. What is the first impression on your timeline – Most network marketers profiles are a sales page.You won't increase your engagement on social media if this is the goal. People don't want to be sold when they hop on social media. Most people that buy actually don't buy on social media. Most buyers purchase from blogs or emails.
  7. Tell an awesome story everyday – People love stories, we are conditioned from childhood to feel safe with stories. Prospects feel the same way. Become a good story teller and watch your engagement go out of the roof! So the last tip on increasing your engagement on social media is every morning decide the story you will tell. My advice is tell the story of your life yesterday. What happened yesterday? If you're out doing your business and living your life daily you should never run out of content to talk about.

Does it ever seem like none of the people you show your business actually have the money to join or buy from you? Surely all my prospects can't be this broke. There may be a few reasons why you are getting this feeling from your prospects and today I will share with you some cool ways to attract more people to you with money that actually want buy from you! Wouldn't it be cool to talk to people actually looking for you?

6 Tips To Attract Better Prospects

Screen Shot 2017-05-08 at 11.55.14 AMSome Just Don't Have the Money. – In some cases your prospect really doesn't have the money. Its up to you to be sure you're talking to qualified prospects. I like to connect with people that are home owners, have a job, married, have kids, and are older than 25. This will almost insure that my prospect has a means of buying from me. Then its up to you to determine if their excuse is valid or just that. an excuse Don't market to people that need your product. Market to people who buy your products already. Most people want to market to the obese to sell their weight loss products. I would rather sell that product to people that have a habit of buying these products. Not the people that need them. Those people need the product because they DON'T BUY. Much better to serve the existing market than create NEW buying habits. You don't not serve the market that needs your product. Just don't give 100% of your focus there. 80/20 is key!

Sharing price to soon – I see this a lot online and listening to phone calls from our coaching clients. Typically a prospect knows there is a cost to the engagement and will ask what the cost is before gathering ANY information from you. Many marketers give in and reveal price and never hear from their prospect again. I don't want this to happen to you again. If a prospect ask me what price is, I make 100% sure they have seen enough information to justify that the amount being spent is MUCH LESS than the value being provided!! This could increase your sales by 50% or more. Which leads to the next key point. Painting the value picture for you audience.

BONUS STATEGIES 

Paint The Picture of Value – Remember many of your prospect's judgement is clouded by the news, negativity, work, and more. This makes it hard for them to paint a cleat picture of value in their own head. It's your job to paint a clear value picture to prospect. Sometimes we call this price conditioning. If your product cost $50 you can condition your audience to get ready to spend $500. Sharing the benefits with them and revealing it ONLY cost $50. This is a very important skill to learn. Also, learning how to place the pain of your prospect in the past and the pleasure of your product or service in the future.

They Smell a Sell Coming – Most network marketers can't help but sell sell sell, instead of providing value value value. It's like showing up to a used car dealership. You know that guy is coming over to sell you that car! But when he shows up and starts helping you solve your problems. You walk out with a new car and he makes a sale. I see network marketers plaster a sales pitch on their social media all day and night. Then try to reach out to prospects and get crickets. Be careful not sell on your social media, but to attract with curiosity and valuable information that raises awareness. People are on social media to connect and be entertained. Don't be the marketer people run from because you're not truly making them a better person and their life easier.Screen Shot 2017-05-08 at 11.57.40 AM

They dont know they even have the money – Some prospects don't know they even have the money laying around to buy from you! Sometimes it's up to you to help them come up with cool ways to get started! First you must be sure to actually ask for the sale, many marketers are wondering why they never get sales, its because you never ask. The other reason could be you're not helping your prospects see that the old lamp that could be sold on eBay is perfect to get rid of and get the money to start with you. Or working a little side job, or driving uber for a month could help them get going faster. Find out if they are open to new ways of finding the money.

Social Media Bait – If you're looking to attract more business builders to your network marketing business I suggest using things on social media business builders are looking for. Most are looking for ways to grow their business. So as you find new ways to grow yours. Share what you're finding with others. Another social media tip is to stay away from using “making money” as bait. Using money as bait will typically attract people with no money. For example, “want to make an extra $500?” This will usually attract the person that doesn't have $500. Use benefits not features to attract the best people to you on social media.

So in today's post I will share with you 16 Sales Secrets that top earners do everyday, that can increase your sales by 50% without having to blog, create content, or make videos.

16 Tips To Sky Rocket Sales 2x

  1. How You Define The Word Sales – I think most network marketers would enjoy a sky rocket in their sales. Comment below “up sale” if you agree with me. The problem I see however, many want more sales, but don't claim to be in sales. We are all in sales no matter what we are doing. If there is something you want another to do, we are in sales. When your kids want a toy, they are selling you on why that toy is for them. If you want a spouse, you sell your spouse on why they should spend their life with you.
  2. Power of Agreement – The Law of Agreement says that as we lend our agreement to any belief, we reinforce it and make it stronger. Alternatively, as we refrain from lending our agreement to an idea that isn't likely to give us the results we're looking for; we dilute it and weaken its power over us and over everyone else simultaneously.The same stands in network marketing. When we learn to agree with others, they tend to agree with us more often 
  3. Increase Your Questions Increase Your Sales – Most network marketers go for the close too soon. When you ask questions and use questioning velocity (asking more questions faster) this allows you to have your prospects close themselves. This also let's your prospect know that you are doing all you can to find the right information to ACTUALLY solve their problem! When someone knows your truly care about their problem, it becomes irresistible for that person to exchange money for the solution to that problem. Joining a home business can be scary for most because many have never operated any kind of business before. Even though the home business route is typically a smart one because of the minimized risks and potential for amazing reward, 97% of the industry seems to get it wrong. Just so you know a little about me before I give you a the ultimate home business checklist. You should have a reason to listen to me right? In 2014 I decided to throw my hat into the home business ring after a descent professional baseball career! I took a sales job for a couple of years and was looking for a way to supplement my income after getting hammered by the tax man! Fast forward to today, I have enrolled over 600+ people into our networking business, become one of the top affiliate marketers, and have successfully helped thousands of people build a successful network marketing business. img_0178Why do so many people in the industry seem to find failure rather than success. Just like many other professions, it takes people willing to do what the professionals do. I wanted to design a home business checklist to help you either launch your current home business the right way, relaunch your home business, or help those that are thinking about starting a home business understand the skill sets you will need to develop over time to seemingly guarantee your success. I want to reiterate that I said develop. Meaning you do NOT have to have these skills now in order to start getting results! I sure did not have many of these skills when I started. However I committed to the progress and development of these specifics and watched my career and income sky rocket!

 

The Ultimate Home Business Checklist 

 

#1. A Never Quit Attitude

If you don't have this 1st skill, than the others I give you will not mean much! There is not one leader that has reached success in our industry that does NOT have this type of attitude. My first mlm I will never forget watching a video the first week that said “If you are still around after year 1 you will see results beyond 95% of the industry as a whole” That day I committed, I mean really committed to never quitting this as a business. Although I am not in THAT mlm anymore (the company did shut its doors, momentarily

 

#2. Preparation

One thing I was really good at when I was working full time was my preparation. The night before I knew exactly how the next day was going to go almost down to the hour.If the day threw a curveball, I was able to adjust and keep moving with no interruptions because I was prepared.

 

#3. Discipline

Discipline is doing the things you know you SHOULD be doing daily in your business, and actually doing those things with 100% effort! The big question for most is “How?”. How does a person with little to know discipline develop this skill? Is it even possible to develop this skill? The answer is a resounding “yes!” It's time to develop some new habits! Whats easy TO do is also easy NOT to do! With every success story, there is always a sacrifice made and new habits created. We hear it over and over again, but we tend to have selective hearing when it comes to changing our daily disciplines! So name 3 areas inside of your business that you know you need to be more discipline or consistent on! Now looking at these 3 things, what do you need to do in order to get better at those? Now right beside those 3, write 2 things down that you can do to improve immediately! Then, just take action on those 6 things!! Do this for two weeks!! It's just two weeks and your life could start to change right before your eyes!

 

#4. Marketing

Ironically enough you're now in network marketing…. MARKETING is in the name! Sadly most networkers never learn to develop the skill of becoming a better marketer. If you plan on making a significant amount of money in your business (and I know thats you) then YES YES YES, you will have to understand and implement some basic marketing skills. I started to learn the basics of Attraction Marketing  in 2013. Because I decided to learn the basics of attraction marketing for my network marketing business, I now have people coming to ME looking for information, instead of me chasing friends and family with my business. #5. Communicate Easily (Creative Networking & Prospecting)

Once you join a network marketing company for some odd reason we forget how to be human and normal communication turns into tension or strained communication. The difference between prospecting and creative prospecting comes down to working smarter not harder and finding eager leads and prospectsFind people that are looking for you and what you offer. This changes how prospecting is done!

#6. Opening & Closing The Deal

One question we get a lot is “How can I close more people?” The question people should be asking is how can I open more people?” In anything that involves a transaction of money there is a close, however the first engagement is the open and this is one of the most important encounters. When you open right, you can close right”. It may sound corny, but your ability to make people feel amazing during the open and the close is the first key. The second is make sure you're asking good open-ended questions. So what's the best way to close people? Have them close themselves by asking good questions and making people feel freaking amazing.

 

#7. Coach-ability

I was told over and over that in network marketing you'll have to unlearn the things you know more than having to learn completely new skills. I did not understand this for years. I thought I knew it all, I was successful in my previous career. So I should be able to come into this network marketing thing and crush it! Looking for a coach? #8. Focus

This may seem simple, but focus is extremely important. But the type of focus you need in order to have success in your network marketing company is very particular. This focus involves doing less and saying the word “no”.

 

#9. Vision Vs. Why

Most network marketing companies want you to focus on your WHY, which is a great thing to start off your career. However, a WHY is generally associated with something that you don't have. Some sort of pain that leaves you with a feeling of “lack”. Your pain will push you to do things that you have never done before, but if you are looking to take your business to levels of leadership that can not be destroyed, you MUST create a powerful vision. Your Vision will pull you to your future and you will no longer have to “push” yourself to success.

 

#10. Authority and Influence

The single most important skill that you will develop in your career as a professional network marketer and entrepreneur. Have you ever wondered why masses follow the trends of celebrities over others in the world? One word, INFLUENCE! Have you ever been curious why certain people can say whatever they want and people join their network marketing company in droves? They have AUTHORITY over their audience. You on the other hand can do and say the exact same thing and no one joins…So the big question here is how do you create AUTHORITY?
